Best Advice I could give.....

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight, and height. Let the doctors worry about them, that is why you pay them.

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about computers, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. An idle mind is the devil's workshop. And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things

5. Laugh often, long, and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, forgive, grieve and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it is family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health. It it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. It it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity!

"If the leaves had not been let go to fall and wither, if the tree had not consented to be a skeleton for many months, there would be no new life rising, no bud, no flower, no fruit, no seed, no new generation."

-I'm loving this spring time weather, it's still chilly at night but absolutely gorgeous in the day! It's a beautiful thing to watch the flowers bloom and the world come to life....

"And those who know Your name will their trust in You;
For You Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you"

-He never once let me down. So completely blow away by his faithfulness to us in our marriage. Even the small details, like selling a silly car.

Making it all more enjoyable!

There have been many things that have made our meals so much more enjoyable this week, just thought I would share a few!

-Watching the Tsunami and Earthquake documentaries from Japan, will for sure put you in check! Count your blessings, be grateful for EVERYTHING you have, cause in a matter of one hour it could be completely washed away...
-Trying new things in the kitchen... usually results in something amazing happening

- doing all things in love, even if you don't feel like it. Remember to have a joyful heart even on the hardest, longest, most grueling days.
-realize that having a kitchen and all it's utilities is a privilege. There are so many in the world who still use fire and wood to prepare meals.
-Spending the precious moments we have with the ones we love the most. Even if all the time we get together is at the dinner table...make the most of it. Enjoy it.
-Take a moment to really look what's around you. The place may not be your ideal at the moment, but I guarantee you can find something to make you appreciate your life.
- Break bread with friends. It's one of the most rewarding things you will ever do. Open your home. Be vulnerable. Don't dress up, don't over-do yourself. Just be you. Share stories, laughter, thoughts.
-In a way it's comforting to know that some will finally find closure after all their loss ten years ago.

We often take food for granted. We just assume we should eat three times a day with snacks in between and dessert afterwards. Sometimes other things that happen in my life or in the world make me really appreciate something as small/huge as food!

"Forests burn down after hitting their peak,

the stock market plunges,

and cities crumble from giant waves.

gold is a rock,

cash is paper,

and coins are merely metal with funny faces on them"

Some Wise Words From Oswald Chambers..

I was doing some reading this morning and I found some of these very interesting or good! Just thought I would share them!

-God does not expect us to imitate Jesus Christ: He expects us to allow the life of Jesus to be manifested in our mortal flesh. God engineers circumstances and brings us into difficult places where no one can help us, and we can either manifest the life of Jesus in those conditions, or else be cowards and say "I cannot exhibit the life of God there: then we deprive God of glory. If you will the life of God be manifested in your particular human edition- where God cannot manifest it, that is why he called you, you will bring glory to God.

-The attitude of our Lord's life was the He was disconnected with everything to do with the things that chain people down to this world, consequently He would go wherever His Father wanted Him to go.

-How much time have you given to wondering what God is doing with you? It is not your business. Your part is to acknowledge God in all your ways, and he will blend the active and the spiritual until they are inseparable, and you learn to live in activities knowing that your life is hid with Christ your God.

-The impatience of modern life has so crept into Christian work that we will not settle down before God and find out what He wants us to do.

- Give attendance to reading: Remember that the need to receive, recognize, and rely on the Holy Spirit is above all else.

-When I say "My one aim to preach Jesus by lip and life and I will allow no other interests to dominate," then every other thing will be related to that purpose.
